Behind the existing building envelope, a home was created that was completely reimagined. The complete renovation of this terraced house in Caslano focused on the interior architecture, creating spaces that balance tranquillity, elegance and functionality. High-quality materials, precise detailing and a warm colour palette give the house a timeless character, while the view of the water subtly becomes part of the living experience.

A carefully coordinated material concept forms the basis of the entire interior. Warm walnut panelling extends through the living and dining areas as well as both bedrooms, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Large-format ceramic flooring provides a calm foundation, while elements made of Calacatta marble, including the organically shaped dining table, a side table and the top of the TV console, add carefully placed accents. Brushed bronze fittings and the elegant water vapour fireplace in the dining area complete the refined overall look with subtle, understated details.

Particular attention was paid to the private spaces. The main bedroom and adjoining bathroom are connected by a large switchable glass wall that changes from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button. This sophisticated feature combines modern technology with visual lightness, creating either openness or privacy depending on the situation.

The result is an interior that impresses not through staging, but through its materials, careful planning and the quality of every individual detail. A home designed to stand the test of time.
